George M. Stevens Clocks
and Turret & Marine Clocks

There are very few records of the installations of Stevens clocks.  The locations herein are taken from the Stevens catalog, and include several installations found by Fred Shelley, who examined them.  In many cases, the clocks on this list are no longer to be found.  Either the clock has disappeared, or the building housing the clock has been torn down, and there is no record of the clock.

The dates listed are taken from Mr. Shelley's article in the BULLETIN of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Vol. 36, No. 2, April, 1994.

If you are looking for tower clock installations by other American makers, go to Other American Makers.

If you find a clock that is not listed in any of these three lists--and there may be many, as these lists are not complete, nor do they incorporate the efforts of individual makers-- please gather as much data on the clock as possible, and get in touch with

Y = Clock exists
N = No clock
NT = No Trace of clock
T&M R. = Turret & Marine Retrofit
X = Possible T&MCC, installed by Stevens.

The model numbers given above are arbitrary, assigned for cataloging purposes by Frederick M. Shelley, who did the primary research on Stevens.

I have no data on the installation locations in cities with multiple installations listed.
* This clock has the look of a Model 4, but the strike control is another variation, as are three of the Model 4's illustrated by Frederick M. Shelley.
